Principal & Founder
Teacher – Disco, Rock n Roll, Competition Squads & Team Firestorm

Michelle began her dance training in Disco Freestyle and Rock & Roll aged 8.  During her time as an amateur dancer, Michelle completed her Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) exams to an advanced level and was also a regular competition winner.  Michelle has performed in numerous productions and at the age of 17, was invited to choreograph AVDC’s ‘James Bond Extravaganza.’
As well as teaching and running Kandeez, Michelle’s other work includes Children’s Dance Parties, Private Lessons, Wedding First Dances and working with local Schools helping to deliver Dance in the Curriculum, most recently St Mary’s CE Combined School, Aylesbury and Quainton C of E Combined School.
Michelle also works outside the Dance School with various Community Groups. Past projects include working with Aston Clinton Youth Club as their Team Trainer, Guest Teacher at AVDC’s Dance Fever Intensive Workshops, teaching dance at a local School for children with learning disabilities and working with the local Council as an Appointed Dance Teacher for Bucks.

Carla Lucas


Teacher – Ballet, Tap, Modern, Baby Ballet & Boogie Babies

Carla started dancing at the age of 3, training locally from the age of 11 in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Musical Theatre. During her time as an amateur dancer, Carla took part in numerous dance festivals, pantomimes and local theatre group productions.
From the age of 16, Carla studied at the Margaret Howard Theatre College where she successfully completed a three year performance and teacher training course. She also graduated with a Musical Theatre diploma and gained valuable experience performing on cruise ships around the Mediterranean and at Disneyland Paris.
Carla has been teaching at Kandeez since 2011 and holds her DDE with the ISTD.
She enjoys taking an active role in Kandeez and in helping our pupils grow and have fun!

Claire Alderton

Teacher – Team Evolve

Claire started her dance training at the age of 10 in Disco Freestyle, Rock & Roll, Latin American and Ballroom at Moonglow Studios, Watford.  During this time Claire completed her exams to an advanced level, enjoyed success at many competitions and danced at various events, including fashion shows.
Claire trains our Over 16 Intermediate Team ‘Evolve.’ She feels that dance is an expression of personality and enjoys seeing the pupils develop in their dancing and self-confidence.

Joe Priest

Teacher – Street Dance

Joe is a choreographer, dancer and teacher originally from Birmingham, now based in London. He is a member of Antics Dance Crew, two-time finalists on Sky 1’s ‘Got To Dance.’
Joe graduated from the University of East London with a degree in Dance – Urban Practice and his favourite Street style is bboying/breaking. He loves to encourage individuality and enjoyment within our pupils, the next generation of Street dancers!
