Michelle Bradford

Director & Principal
Teacher – ISTD Disco, Street & Rock n Roll, Competition Squads & Team Firestorm

Michelle began her dance training in Disco Freestyle and Rock & Roll aged eight. During her time as an amateur dancer, Michelle completed her Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) exams to an advanced level and was also a regular competition winner. Michelle has performed in numerous productions and at the age of 17, was invited to choreograph AVDC’s ‘James Bond Extravaganza.’

After a spell at University to study Journalism, Michelle decided that her future lay in Dance and returned home to study for her ISTD Teaching exams with the late Ms Betty Bouston. Michelle has now been teaching for 17 years.

As well as teaching and running Kandeez, Michelle’s other work includes Children’s Dance Parties, Private Lessons, Wedding First Dances, After School Dance Clubs and working with local Schools helping to deliver Dance in the Curriculum, most recently St Mary’s CE Combined School, Aylesbury and Quainton C of E Combined School.
Michelle also works outside the Dance School with various Community Groups. Past projects include working with Aston Clinton Youth Club as their Team Trainer, Guest Teacher at AVDC’s Dance Fever Intensive Workshops, teaching dance at a local School for children with learning disabilities and working with the local Council as an Appointed Dance Teacher for Bucks.

Carla Lucas
Acrobatic Arts AAC1

Teacher – Ballet, Tap, Modern, Acro, Musical Theatre

Carla started dancing at the age of three, training locally from the age of 11 in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Musical Theatre. During her time as an amateur dancer, Carla took part in numerous dance festivals, pantomimes and local theatre group productions.
From the age of 16, Carla studied at the Margaret Howard Theatre College where she successfully completed a three year performance and teacher training course. She also graduated with a Musical Theatre diploma and gained valuable experience performing on cruise ships around the Mediterranean and at Disneyland Paris.
Carla has been teaching at Kandeez since 2011 and holds her DDE with the ISTD and her AAC1 with Acrobatic Arts. She enjoys taking an active role in Kandeez, helping our pupils grow and have fun!


Samantha Vale

Teacher – Street Dance

Samantha Vale, an international master teacher trainer in Street Dance is responsible for creating Street Dance syllabi and training programmes for some of the world’s leading dance organisations. Sam lectures across the globe, inspiring and developing the next generation of teachers and students of dance. Her recent lecturing travels have taken her to China, Vietnam and South Africa.

Sam has worked in the dance industry as a performer, choreographer and teacher for nearly two decades and is the founder of DANCE HUB (www.dancehub.co.uk)
She was the recipient of the prestigious CARL ALAN AWARD in Street Dance and is a mentor for young people in performing arts.

Hannah Andrews

Teacher – Commercial & Lyrical Contemporary

Hannah’s love of dance and performing started at a young age whilst learning RAD Ballet and ISTD Tap and Modern. She also attended Irish Dancing lessons and currently holds a Grade 3 Level Teaching qualification.

From 2010 to 2013 Hannah trained at Amersham and Wycombe College, gaining National Diplomas in Acting, Dancing and Singing. After this, she trained as a professional dancer at the Stella Mann College of Performing Arts, where she gained the Trinity qualification.

As a performer, Hannah has taken part in many competitions, performances and shows. She now teaches Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, Commercial, Musical Theatre, Technique and Stretch in numerous Schools and Academys around the local area. Her work includes choreography for competition troupes to take across the Country.

We are looking forward to welcoming Hannah to the Kandeez Teaching Team from September 2018.
