Going forward, those dancers who currently represent or wish to represent Kandeez at competitions will be expected to regularly attend the Monday Freestyle class at Buckingham Park, 7.30-8.00. This will ensure that our competitors are best prepared for every event and will also confirm to me who is committed enough to represent the Dance School. The class costs £3 or £2 with a valid Passport to Leisure card, payable weekly. If your child/ren are not able to attend this class due to other commitments or if there is another reason, please let me know ASAP. Likewise, if your son/daughter no longer wishes to compete, please also let me know.
Our first competition this year is scheduled to be the ISTD Hemel Area Competition in late March, actual date TBC. We have many other competitions lined up so 2011 promises to be an exciting year! Keep your eye on the website for updates and any competition news.
to Abbie Coney, Izzy Fincher and Sophie Thomas for their fantastic dancing at the ISTD National Grand Finals, Guildford, yesterday.
It was your first ever Grand Finals Day and you all did incredibly well. I’m a very proud teacher today!
We will then be working towards another year of competitions… the first of which will be Betty Bouston’s Berkhamsted comp on November 7th (not a qualifier).
Any dancers interested in competitions should come to their weekly class and Monday Freestyle practice. Speak to Michelle for further information.
